Busted!

Mom caught me with one of her flowers in my mouth yesterday! I just wanted to see what it tasted like..... She yelled and I very gently opened my mouth and left the flower there. You would never even know it was slobbery! It's still sitting in the flower holder looking perfect.

I haven't been living at home for the past few days! Max and Belle's Mommy is in the hospital (my Grandmom) All the humans have been over there and leaving us pups all alone to get into trouble! We have behaved ourselves, thank-you-very-much! Whee I finally get to go home for the night I am SOOOO tired!

Mom, Dad, and me were all cuddling in the bed on Thursday night. I'm getting to be a good bed cuddler! Then Mom's phone rang at 10pm and she started jumping out of bed changing out of her jammies, saying we need to leave now... I thought I did something wrong with the cuddling rules! I was so worried. Daddy even jumped up and started racing around. I had no idea what was going on, whithin 3 minutes I had my collar on and all 3 of us were out the door running to the car. Mom and Dad need to learn to run faster. Pathetically slow! We drove really fast to Max and Belle's house. I got shoved inside with Max and Belle, then they left me!!! They left me with the crazy dogs!

They were saying it wasn't anything I did wrong but they had to get to the hospital for emergency surgury? No idea what that means but I had to have done something wrong.... Not so sure I like this cuddling stuff on the big bed.

So over the past few days Max and Belle taught me how to greet people at their back door. Your supposed to jump up on the door and try to dig through the glass window that's right at the humans height! Makes those humans feel really special and they get that door unlocked super fast. Then we get to do zoomies all around the back yard. I really need to get one of these backyards...

I was given this thing called a marshmellow, not sure what I'm supposed to do with it. I spit it out a few times, carried it around for a bit, then decided it must be like a teddy bear! So I laid down and cuddled with my new little friend until Max got disgusted with me, came up and ate my new friend! How Rude!

It my Mommies Brithday!

I was a huge helper last night! I helped Mom clean out her car. She wiped all the windows down and dusted everything. The car looks so big.

First Mom took me for a very short car ride. Shortest ever.... She backed the car up to the grass and tied me to the hooky thing in the trunk. I had so much crap on me! I had my harness that I was tied with, both my collars, AND a hookie thing attaching my collar to my harness just in case I slipped out of either one. I don't really know much about this tying stuff... but Mom sure is paranoid! I just followed Mom around nervously until she told me to jump up into the trunk. Then I had a job to do! I watched everything from the trunk and made sure no one came near.


When Mom had to clean the nose prints off the rear window (I have *no* idea how they even got there) I had to jump down and she gave me a yummy bone to eat in the nice warm grass!

After cleaning the car I got to eat supper and hang out with Dad while mom went to the car wash. I heard Mom come back home (her car has a funny beep) I got all excited! Daddy even let me run down the hallway to meet her! I don't think I'm supposed to run down the hallway..... but it was fun!

A nice night

I got to eat supper then go play with Max and Belle. I ate some yummy spring grass with Belle and ran around with Max! I'm starting to like my dog bed in this new spot. I can look at that other dog who sometimes is on the other side of the glass door. Mom says her birthday is tomorrow and I have to be extra special nice to her. We did what those humans call "training last night" They tell me to sit, then spit yummy lunch meat at me. I'm way to slow to catch it, but I sure can slurp it off the floor. Afterward I got another super yummy bone!!! These things are awesome!

I guess I have officially started sleeping through the nights again. I was tired last night!

My Sunday

After we all slept in I got to help pay the rent! Mom and I walked up to drop the rent check off. We haev to walk by a bunch of stores and I love looking into each door at my reflection! I am so pretty... Mom failed to mention the HUGE STAIRS that we would have to climb. It was so scary. We finally got up by Mom moving my first foot, second foot, third foot, and fourth foot. Rinse and repeat. It took a bit and I shook the whole time... I was really scared! But I did the last 2 steps all by myself. I am an expert at going down the stairs. That was a piece of cake. After that ordeal I needed a huge body shake to shake off the scariness.

Then Mom and Dad went into a cleaning frenzy. The vacuum came out, the kitties were yowling at being brushed, and my dog bed got moved. The sofa got moved, the chair got moved, 2 tables got moved, very concerning! I grabbed my bone and wandered around for a bit trying to politely make a point that my dog bed was NOT in the right spot. Um hello people.... Finally I had to settle down on my dog bed in it's new spot. Not right away. I had to pout and lay on the hard abusive floor for a bit to make my people feel guilty.

After the craziness was over we all went to Brusters to get ice cream! Yum! We even met another greyhound there. Who would have thunk it! My new greyhound friend is in the witness protection program so I can't say her name... I'm getting to good at eating ice cream.

Here I am this morning waiting for Mom to leave so I can catch up on my beauty sleep in my teeny tiny crate.

My first greyhound walk!

Last night we went on a picnic in the park. I was so confused.... what is a picnic? and why were we just sitting there? Parks are supposed to be walked on, and sniffered with. Afterward instead of going on a walk we went to the dog park. I got to run and run and run with a cute puppy.

This morning I went on my very first greyhound walk! I met 6 new friends. We walked forever! I was so excited that I forgot my manners and pulled most of the time. Ops. There was this cute little black dog named Maggie. She was scared when she first go there, but was feeling brave in no time! We even had a train rush right past us. That was loud!

Maybe I can turn these puppy eyes on and get some ice cream tonight.... Off to do important work.
